Teaser Tuesdays #4

TEASER TUESDAYS is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.

My Teaser (spoiler free):

"The eight-thousanders were the fourteen independent peaks in the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges with heights exceeding 8,000 metres. That's around 26,000 feet if you're from the USA, Myanmar or Liberia, the only three countries in the world still refusing to convert to the metric system."

  3. I can't think in metric having been raised on inches and feet but I didn't think that we Americans were in such a minority as being only one of three countries not gone metric. The teaser on my adult blog this week comes from House of the Rising Sun by Kristen Painter - an urban fantasy. Happy reading!

  4. The United States really should switch over. Even though it would confuse me. LOL I'd get used to it.

    1. I guess it would confuse us too if it was the other way around hahaha

  5. HA! I love the stab at our archaic system of measurements. Metric is SO MUCH EASIER! (sigh)

My teaser this week is from an author who uses metric at home in Australia, Barbara Underwood - Rhuna, Keeper of Wisdom: http://www.foofynotfoofy.com/foofynotfoofy/2015/6/23/teaser-tuesday-and-giveaway-rhuna-keeper-of-wisdom-by-barbara-underwood
