My Musing:
As my last review was about Prince of Conjurers by Laurie L. Bolanos and this was a book that surprised me in a very positive way, I decided to share with you guys a little something. So, as you know, I received a copy of Prince of Conjurers in exchange for an honest review, but this wasn't just a regular copy! This was (and still is, as it's sitting in my shelf and looking very good) an autographed copy!

But let's take a good look at it:

What a mysterious looking cover...

And oh look!

There's something on the right downer corner...

What is it?

*Zooms in*

It's a sticker!!

And a beautiful one!

Curious to see the inside?

I know I would be...

*Opens book*

Aaaaah, so pretty!

And it has my name!

And better yet...

It's written correctly!
(Everyone writes my name with double c, EVERYONE)

I love this so much *sighs*

Anyway, if you liked this musing or have one of your one to share, please leave it on the comments' section below! And happy Monday! ;)

Musing Mondays #12

MUSING MONDAYS is a weekly meme created and hosted by Jess from A Daily Rhythm.
Thank you so much Jess!

My Musing:
I don't think I've ever introduced you guys to my fandom-related necklace collection... So let's do it!

Firstly the Deathly Hollows necklace which I acquired in 2013 in Oporto. An old man was selling them in the street and I had been looking for one for so long that I didn't even hesitated when I saw them all dangling from a rope.

As you can see I have it exposed in my J.K.Rowling shelf next to my Harry Potter series and first two books on the Cormoran Strike triology.

Next up comes my Mockingjay necklace wich I got in Madrid just a few months ago in February of 2015. I went to a street market called "El Rastro" with my friends and I saw this tent full with fandom necklaces and I literally screamed and runned straight to it. As soon as my friends caught up with me and saw what the yelling was all about they just said "Typical Rebeca..."! So that's where I got this beauty that's currently hanging by my Hunger Games triology.

And last but not least comes my Shadowhunter's necklace which is really just the Angelic Power or Enkeli rune but in necklace form. I got it in the same place I got the Mockingjay necklace and I have it near my Mortal Instruments series.

So here you have it! I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about me and if you have funny stories or just fandom related merch that you want to share do not hesitate to leave a comment down below!

My Musing:
I've just finished "Losing Hope" by Colleen Hoover and as I'm participating in A Tree of Reveri's Read-a-thon I have to choose and start my next book as soon as possible (not that I don't do this on a regular basis but let's just say today I have a little extra motivation ;)).
I trying to decide between "Night Film" by Marisha Pessl and "I Am the Messeger" by Markus Zusak. Let me know what you think I should read next in the comment's section below!

MUSING MONDAYS asks you to muse about one of thefollowing each week…

A big thank you to MizB from Should Be Reading who is the host of this meme!

My Musing

This weekend I had the worst reading experience ever! This friday I went to a engineering convention and I took the book I'm currently reading with me as I do when I go anywhere. I was very excited because as soon as the convention was over I would head home and read for the whole weekend. Since I got sick due to something I ate at the convention's lunch my mum came to pick me up and take me home to spare me from the tube and bus trips I would have to do under normal circumstances. As I rushed to get in the car and go home as soon as possible I forgot my book there. I FREAKING FORGOT MY BOOK THERE. And since the place is closed during the weekend I will only be able to pick it up on Monday. I READ ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THIS WEEKEND AND THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A READING WEEKEND. So now I developed an irrational (or maybe not so irrational, depending on your level of bookworm-ness) anger torward tuna sandwiches.

A big thank you to MizB from Should Be Reading who is the host of this meme!

• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

My Musings:

I used to be a "on-the-go" reader, I would read on the bus, on the subway, on the car, even while walking. And this year I have to do a one-hour trip every day to go to college (which is twice the time I used to travel to go to high school last year) and I seem to not have the least motivation to read while travelling. I find myself constantly in the mood to listening to music and staring out the window and rarely in the mood to read. I think I'm over my reading slump, I mean, I'm excited about what I'm reading... I don't know what's going on and it's freaking me out a little bit. Maybe it's just a phase, maybe I'll get more used to it throughout the year and I'll turn to reading again.

My Musings:

Today I want to talk about going against the current. I just recently finished Cinder. You've probably heard of Cinder. I've seen so many people raving about this book, so I joined a group to buddy read it. I have to admit I was not sure about it when I first heard of it, I mean cyborgs?! However I've been pleasantly surprised before when I was under the same circumstances so I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately I didn't like it, I'm not going into detail why since I'll be posting a review soon. I just hate the feeling of not liking a book everybody seems to love so much! Do you know that feeling? Have you ever read book that everybody seem to love except you? Which book was? Please share your feelings about this subject in the comment section below!

I've recently bought "Kill Order", a novella that takes place before The Maze Runner triology. I started reading it yesterday and I'm enjoying it so far! I have to say I love this edition of the triology, I think it looks so so so cool!

What have you guys been reading? Tell me about it on the comments' section below!

My musings:

I'm one of those people who takes a book everywhere, even if I know I'll probably won't have time read. Sometimes I find myself wishing for a little more time; like when I'm waiting for someone and I wish they are late so that I can read more. I don't really mind taking the bus because then I'll have time to read. When I'm watching TV I take a book to read during commercials, even if they only take a few minutes.
What about you? Do you spend all your free minutes trying to read something? Leave a comment telling me one of your reading habits

My musings

Currently Reading

I'm currently reading (or trying to read) three books. These buddies here:

Game of Thrones
by George R. R. Martin

I'm 12 pages in and I'm finding it quite difficult to stick to... I feel like I actually have to make myself pick it up and I hate when I have to do that to be able to read a book!

On the Road
by Jack Kerouac

Now this book I'm enjoying! Even though I've been on holidays and had almost no time to read, I felt like this book was something I was (and am) really enjoying. I am, however, needing more time than I expected to read it.

The Appeal of Evil
by Pembroke Sinclair

I'm doing a read-along of this book with Isabel so we can write a review for the publisher. I've only read a bit but according to Isabel, this is quite and uncommon book!...

I feel like I'm going on a reading slump... I hope not since college starts next week and I won't have as much time to read as I'd like to... Anyway, this was Musing Mondays!

My musings

My Reading Habits

I don't know when did this started happening nor why but I just noticed that for a while now I 've doing this thing where I fold the corner of the pages that make me cry. Like really really cry! I only do it when the book is mine of course! I did it with the book thief, with Shiver (yeah, I've read it a long time ago and I don't really remember what made me cry but... it has a folded corner), with the Harry Potter series and even with the Mortal Instruments series!

The weird thing is... from all the books I've read the one that made me cry the most and during a longer period of time was The Fault in Our Stars by Johne Green (I know, so mainstream, I know, but it really got to me) and that is the one book I seem to be unable to fold the corner of any page whatsoever. I do have a theory though... I think that there were so many pages that made me cry that I would have to fold every single page of the book.
